Kooky Koffee
Crispin Mwanyumba, Co-Founder
BCOM 2018
Crispin is the co-founder of Kooky Koffee, a Vancouver-based specialty coffee company committed to reshaping the way coffee is sourced, sold, and shared. At Kooky, every decision starts at origin—our green beans are sourced directly from farming partners in Kenya and roasted locally in South Vancouver to highlight their bright, fruity flavour profiles.
Kooky Koffee's goal is to enable coffee farmers to earn a living wage. To do this, the company introduced a unique revenue-sharing model—for every bag of coffee sold, 5% of the sale goes directly back to the Kenyan farmer who grew the beans. It’s a simple, transparent system that puts money in the hands of those who deserve it most, going beyond vague certifications to create real, measurable impact.
Today, Kooky Koffee is a fast-growing presence at local farmers' markets and online, offering a more meaningful coffee experience—one that celebrates quality, transparency, and fairness from crop to cup.
