Project Hastings UBC: Impact Sprint

Impact Sprint at UBC is a single-day case competition designed to engage both university undergraduate and high school students in tackling a pressing policy issue. Participants will have the opportunity to research, design, and pitch innovative solutions to the issue at hand. This competition aims to foster creativity and critical thinking while familiarizing students with public policy and youth-led solutions.

  • Location: UBC Sauder School of Business, Vancouver, BC - map
  • Time Commitment: 2.5 hours (3:00pm – 5:30pm) PDT
  • Sign-up Deadline: Monday, December 15, 2025

Additional Information:

Judges will evaluate presentations based on feasibility, creativity, and social impact, and provide feedback to help participants refine their ideas. Judges will be provided with a rubric to grade and rank each presentation. We are looking for individuals in the roles of consultant, policy consultant, policy analyst, social entrepreneur, or director at a social impact non-profit/venture.

Expected No. of Student Attendees: 80 (40 University + 40 High School)
